OLYMPIA RALLY 2025 DAY 1

    ALX0665 1 Olympia rally

The curtain rose on the Olympia Rally 2025 in the best possible way.

110 riders from all over the world were present at the ceremonial start in the city center, in a fantastic atmosphere, following a 45-kilometer prologue stage that was highly demanding in both navigation and riding!

Rain made its appearance as well, adding difficulty by creating plenty of mud, though it helped reduce the dust.

The starting order for the second stage — a long 250-kilometer day around the artificial lake of Pineios — will be determined based on the prologue results.

Winner of the first stage was Slovenian Urban Jerkic on a KTM EXC 450, with a time of 1h05’28”, followed by Italian Roberto Barbieri on a Husqvarna FE 501, trailing by 1’14”. The German Mike Wiedemann came in third on a Yamaha Tenere XTZ 700. The top Greek rider was Giannis Sevastopoulos, also on a Yamaha Tenere 700, who placed 5th overall with a time of 1h09’47”.
